Anthony was a two-time All-State high school baseball player in Colorado and the 2005 Colorado High School Pitcher of the year.  He attended Wichita State University from 2006-2008 where he was named an All-American as a pitcher and was a 2008 Golden Spikes Semi-Finalist. 

Drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the 4th round in 2008 he played 10 seasons professionally, reaching as high as AAA with the Athletics.  Following his career with the A's, Anthony played internationally in Italy, Venezuela, and Mexico, winning a European Championship in 2014 in Italy.  After retiring as a player Capra was the pitching coach for the Wichita Wingnuts for two seasons.
